I hope this note finds everyone well. It seems we can’t escape absurd weather, and it will be nice to finally get the brutal days of summer behind us! I wanted to touch base with our membership to let everyone know about several important events and Chapter happenings.
First, I want to applaud Director Bill States, Michael Forbis, Scott Justus and others for organizing our inaugural NC Mountain Fire Investigation Summit. The training hosted over 90 attendees and was a huge success! Based on the positive responses, we are looking to make next year’s offering even better and include it with our other terrific training conferences in Pinehurst and Myrtle Beach.
Speaking of Myrtle Beach, we are approximately 1 month out from out NC/SC IAAI Joint Conference in October. If you have not already registered, jump in soon because available slots are filling fast. The JC Training Committee has crafted a quality group of presentations that span an array of topics. Additionally, the committee has worked diligently to provide entertaining social and networking events as well. For more information, check out our website NCIAAI.com for additional information and registration.
Lastly, we will soon open our elections for both the Executive Board and Board of Directors positions for next year. Check your email inbox soon for voting information and ballots. As we have done in recent years, our elections will be electronic, and we do not want anyone to miss their opportunity to vote. Many thanks to all of the fine candidates that stepped up to seek office and continue our Chapter’s mission.
Everyone stay safe and I look forward to seeing you in Myrtle Beach!
