2014 $2,500 EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP WINNER

Congratulations to Cierra Harris, the 2014 $1500.00 scholarship winner. She will be attending Campbell University in the Fall where she will double major in Business and Marketing before going on to law school. Cierra is also a member of the Fighting Camels Softball Team!

The North Carolina Chapter of International Association of Arson Investigators 2010 Scholarship Award in the amount of $1500.00 was presented toTrenton Blake Bottoms. Trent is the son of NCIAAI member Eddie Bottoms of the Winston-Salem Fire Department. Trent attended North Forsyth High School and plans to attend UNC-Chapel Hill in the fall of 2010
and major in General Dentistry.

The North Carolina Chapter of International Association of Arson Investigators 2010 Scholarship Award in the amount of $750 was presented to Anderson Bailey Profitt. Anderson is the son of NCIAAI member Lisa Profit. Anderson attended Watagua High School and plans to attend N.C. State University in the fall of 2010 and major in Aerospace Engineering.

On May 28, 2009, The North Carolina Chapter of International Association of Arson Investigators 2009 Scholarship Award in the amount of $1,500.00 was presented to Mary White.  Mary is the Daughter of NCSBI Special Agent Matt White, who is assigned to the Costal District.  Mary was in the top ten students in her class at John T. Hoggard High School.  
 

Ironically her sister Amy White was presented the 2008 North Carolina Chapter of International Association of Arson Investigators

2008 EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

$750 Scholarship Winner


The North Carolina Chapter of International Association of Arson
Investigators 2008 Scholarship Award in the amount of $750.00 was
presented to Jennifer Lynne Nance.  She is the daughter of NCIAAI member David L. Nance, Fire Chief of Northwest Pocket Fire Department and member
of the Lee County Arson Task Force. Jennifer is 18 years old and graduated
June 10, 2008 from Southern Lee High School. Jennifer will attend Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst, NC for 2 years later transferring to East
Carolin
a University majoring in Elementary Education. 

Jennifer also is a member of Northwest Pocket Fire Department where she
began as a Junior Firefighter recently promoted to Firefighter and is active
with the Lee County Firefighters' Burned Children Fund and other events
with the NC Jaycee Burn Center. During High School she served as President
for the Emergency Services Club, Section Leader for the Marching Cavaliers, Member of the Key Club and Future Teachers of America.
Jennifer's Mother is Charla and her younger sister is Rebecca.

Poe, Burlington Police Dept.; 2008 Member Scholarship Recipient Corporal Darren Poe of the Burlington, NC Police Department was awarded the 2008 North Carolina Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators Membership Scholarship. Darren recently took a job with the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles as an Investigator. Darren is continuing his educational studies at Guilford College in the study of Forensic Biology. Darren was awarded $750 to assist him in his continuing educational endeavors. We wish Darren continued success in his new employment and educational studies.
